Many Thanks!

Thank you to everyone that participated in the Pueblo Paddle-A-Ton to benefit First Descents. All of your generous efforts raised over $4,000 for our programs. We are so honored to have the Pueblo Paddle-A-Thon part of this organization. Special thanks to Bryan Kelsen for hosting the event! Thanks again and we hope to see all of you out there next year.

About The pueblo paddle-a-thon

Boaters who take part in the purblo Paddle-A-Thon will be asked to choose to paddle one of three pre-determined distances. The distances are 5,10,15 laps of the half-mile Pueblo Whitewater Park. This way participants solicit pledges and they will collect the payment before the event eliminating the need to return to collect the pledges. So pick your distance and solicit pledges according to that distance.

The portion of the lap that is the paddling, takes between 7 & 10 minutes to complete. A flatbed trailer will shuttle boaters and boats back to the top of the course for their next lap.

The Pueblo Paddle-A-Thon will once again be an ACA event. Paddlers who are not ACA members will need to pay a one day membership of $10 as well as fill out a waiver to take part. ACA members should remember to bring their cards with them.

Each boater must raise a minimum of $50 to take part in the event. There will be prizes awarded to the top fundraisers. Each boater will receive a t-shirt at registration when they turn in their money. For every $50 raised a ticket is placed in the bowl for the s.w.a.g. drawing. The top 3 fundraisers will get to pick their first prize in the order of their finish.
