Fundraising is a great way to get involved with First Descents. Without the support of our fundraisers past and present, First Descents would not have been able to serve over 600 young adults with cancer since 2001. Pueblo Paddle-A-Thon
This fundraiser is hosted in Pueblo, CO. Each paddler colletes pledges for how many runs they will complete on the Pueblo Whitewater Park. This year the Pueblo Paddle-A-Thon raised over $4,000. We are very grateful to have the support of the Pueblo Paddle-A-Thon. A great way to get in voloved is to be a part of this fundraiser and get pledges.
Walk For Life
The walk for life fundraiser is hosted in Rockville, MD and is in honor of our late Executive Director Allan Goldberg. With all the proceeds going to First Descents. Visit www.amgwalkforlife.com
The Hudson Projects
Two High School seniors took to the Hudson River in New York to spread the word of First Descents and kayaking. They started in Newcomb, NY with a destination of New York, NY a total of 316 miles. During their journey they stopped at local schools to talk about kayaking and First Descents. At the end of their journey they held a raffle to benifit First Descents and raised a total of $1,125.
